Top 3ds Max Scripts for Architecture Visualization

Autodesk 3ds Max is a very powerful and capable software on its own.  But using scripts and plugins allows you to save a lot of time and effort and help you focus on the creative part of your project in a much faster and efficient workflow.

In this article, I will list my favorite 3ds Max scripts that I use all the time in architecture visualization.

So, let's start with the first one:

  • Find and Bind

If you ever find it hard to use a sun and HDRI image together in lightening your scene, then this script is for you.

Find and bind is a 3ds Max script that scans the HDRI image you choose then determines the sun's location and binds them together. If you want to change the sun's direction you rotate the dome light and it would, in return, rotate the sun accordingly.

Cons: It only works with V-ray render engine.
